Competitive Golf Vacations (CGV) is a full service golfing vacation experience with a difference….organized competition! It is like an “all inclusive” type vacation, but for golf. CGV takes the stress away, so the golfer can focus on the pressure. No flights to book, no transport to worry about, no tee times to make, no hotels to book. No stress, just pressure, be sure to bring your ‘A’ game.
From the start of your vacation, you and your team of between 4 and 12 players will be looked after leaving you to enjoy a completely hassle free vacation, enjoying competitive golf, wonderful historic courses, and famous Welsh hospitality. You’ll talk about it for years!
Once you have selected your team, your USGA index is verified and you have signed up for the golfing vacation of your dreams it’s off to the airport. You will be met by a CGV representative at the UK airport and driven to your destination hotel. The following day could be spent shopping, sightseeing or just relaxing, and you’ll be given a list of all the things to do within easy reach of your hotel.
Be sure to be back at your hotel by the early evening though. You’ll be taken to a welcome dinner where you will meet your European opponents, be drawn against your day one rivals, instructed about the rules and scoring, and generally have the tension raised.
Day three you’ll be picked up from your hotel, assigned a team aide who will tell you about the course and take you there. While competition structure can be varied depending upon your request, the first day will typically be a "four ball" and "alternate shot" combination over 27 holes. The evening is your own but not until a roundup of the days scores and events have taken place over a drink in the club lounge. Day four follows a similar pattern to day three but on a different course with a foursomes match. The final game day is of course singles. Players will be matched against one another depending upon their performances over the first two days. The evening of day five is set aside for a presentation dinner, recap of events and awards, with plenty of stories already.
Day six is free to see more of the local attractions, and on day seven you will be driven back to the airport. All results, photos and some video highlights will be available on the web site's private log in area for you to relive the vacation long into the future.
